The WooCommerce Launch Checklist: 8 Things to Check Before Going Live
A store that looks finished isn’t always ready to sell. Run through this checklist before opening the doors.
It’s easy to focus on how a store looks and forget to test how it actually works. Before launching a WooCommerce store, work through this checklist.
1. Test the full checkout flow yourself
Add a product to cart and complete a real (or test-mode) purchase end to end. Broken checkouts are the single most common reason stores lose sales silently.
2. Confirm payment methods actually work
Verify every configured payment option processes correctly, including any mobile money or local payment integrations relevant to your market.
3. Double-check shipping and delivery rules
Make sure shipping costs and delivery areas are accurate — nothing erodes trust faster than an unexpected shipping charge at checkout.
4. Review every product page on mobile
Most shoppers will browse on a phone. Check that images, pricing and the ‘add to cart’ button are all clearly visible without awkward scrolling.
5–8. Tax settings, order email notifications, inventory counts, and analytics tracking
Confirm tax calculations are correct for your region, that order confirmation emails are actually arriving, that stock counts match reality, and that analytics tracking is capturing purchases correctly before you start driving traffic.
